2. Scope and acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Focusflip iOS application and this website at flip-lock.app (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Focusflip, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

3. Service description

Focusflip is a focus tool that lets you block distracting apps and websites and requires a physical "Focus Flip" — placing your phone face-down for 30 seconds — to unlock them for a limited window. Focusflip relies on Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to apply these restrictions.

Focusflip is a productivity aid. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, including any form of addiction.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Focusflip. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Focusflip Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription for $4.99 per month, with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
After the free trial, your subscription renews automatically at $4.99/month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device.
Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or circumvent the Service except as permitted by law, and not to use it in any unlawful way.

7. Intellectual property

The Focusflip app, this website, and all associated branding, design, and content are owned by the Provider or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Privacy

Focusflip does not collect or store personal data, on the App or on this website — see our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

9. Availability

We work to keep Focusflip reliable, but the Service depends on your device and on Apple's frameworks. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and blocking behavior may be affected by iOS updates or device settings outside our control.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Focusflip and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Focusflip at any time by deleting the app. We may discontinue, suspend, or modify the Service at any time; where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice of changes that materially affect you.

12. Dispute resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
